A trip to Norway is incomplete without trying our national sport! This tour is an introduction to cross-country skiing for beginners.
If you have never tried skiing before, or are hesitant, this is your opportunity to learn cross country skiing in a scenic and relaxed environment.
Departure twice daily: at 8.30 (am) and 13.00 (1pm)).
We ski in flat terrain, mostly on prepared trails on the top of the Tromsø island, just a short (about 10 minutes) drive from the city centre.
We start by teaching you how to take the skis on and off and then we start to ski using basic techniques in a completely flat area. After some training, we introduce some different ski techniques and try to ski a little up and down the hill. By the end of this trip, you can challenge yourself on small hills.
We ski toward the northern part of the island in a scenic area with birch and spruce forests.
What is the biggest risk on this trip? After this trip you need to practice your newly acquired skills on your own, so you should probably start thinking about coming back here again, for longer.
As the weather can change quickly in the Northern Norway, everyone must wear warm clothes - wind-proof jacket/trousers, hats and mittens.
* Please provide information about height, weight and shoe size of each participant in advance.
