Guided Cross-Country Ski Trip - Ski CourseDate: Thursday 15 feb 2018 - Saturday 31 Mar 2018 Show map
Once in Norway you cannot leave without trying our national sport: Cross-country skiing.
If you have never tried skiing before, or are hesitant, it is your opportunity to learn cross country skiing in a scenic and relaxed environment.
Departure twice daily: at 8:30AM (08:30) and 1:00PM (13:00).
We ski in flat terrain, mostly on prepared trails on the top of the Tromsøya island, a short drive away from the city-center (about 5 minutes).
At first we teach how to put the skis on and off and then we begin to ski using basic techniques in a completely flat area. After some training, we introduce some different techniques techniques. By the end of the tour you can challenge yourself on small hills.
We ski toward the north part of the island in a scenic area with birch and spruce forests. During the tour we take a break and you will be served hot drink and lefse (sweet snack).
As the weather can change quickly in the Northern Norway, everyone have to wear warm clothes and wind-proof jacket/trousers
Winter clothes are not included.
